Congratulations to Mann Tzer, Ee Shawn and Yee Cher!

Hi everyone,

Last week, Mann Tzer, Ee Shawn and Yee Cher took part in the Amazing Science X Challenge (ASXC 2013) organised by the Science Centre. A total of 15 teams from various primary schools in Singapore took part in the category A competition of ASXC 2013.

They have done the school proud by winning not one, but two awards:
1) Silver award ($400, 3 silver medals and 3 certificates)
2) Best newcomer trophy

We would like to express our heartiest congratulations to the boys!!! 

Compo and RC

• Compo corrections for "Games" is due tomorrow. This time round, you need not send me the typed compo, instead you should either print out the typed compo yourself or write the composition on a separate foolscap paper.
• RC WS 7 is also due tomorrow.

English Homework...

The composition task based on the theme of 'responsibility' is due on Monday. Remember to use creative phrases to describe people, actions and feelings. Include a story-plan for your story.

VC and supplementary class...

• WS 16 and 17 are due tomorrow.
• Please return the acknowledgement slip for our supplementary classes (23/9 and 30/9) by tomorrow too. If you are unable to make it for the classes, please indicate the reasons in the slip. Remember to get it signed by your parents.

The "Flood" compo ...

Please do your composition corrections for "Flood". Remember to:

• Type out your compo corrections
• Save as a Word document in this format [name][class]flood.doc eg: john4Aflood.doc
• send the document to me via email OR
• save the document in a thumbdrive and submit the drive to me
• print out your corrections (if you are unable to print it out, I will do it for you ...)
• staple the print out behind your composition

The corrections are due this Wednesday (18 September) but do not wait too long to finish it. Once you are done, you may submit your work anytime before the due date.

Thank you for the poster, drawings on whiteboard, cards and gifts that you have given me and the rest of the 4A teachers for Teacher's Day. All of us are happy to receive your notes of appreciation.

McOnline task and Reading ...

During the upcoming September holidays, I would like you to:

1. Complete an McOnline task (Set 10). The window for this task will only open on Monday 9 Sept and will run until Sunday 15 Sept.
2. Brush up on your reading for all the passages in the Listening Comprehension Book that I have returned to you. I will pick you out individually next term, during silent reading time, for you to showcase your reading. So, get ready!
